Summary/Abstract: Purpose of the work. The objective of this paper is to identify the role and impact of Marketplace computer simulations on students’ competences in the field of entrepreneurship acquired in the process of studying at higher-education facilities. This paper draws on the literature describing the theory of entrepreneurial competences, and contains a presentation of the empirical research carried out in the course of learning. Material and methods. Statistical analysis of competence tests (before the training and after the training). Results. The study revealed a significant impact by the applied simulation on the increase of entrepreneurship and managerial competences among the surveyed students. Conclusions. The empirical research on the impact of computer simulations on competences should involve considering its limitations, and, above all, a certain degree of subjectivism in the self-evaluation of the entrepreneurial competences of the survey participants, as well as the use of a short list of conceptual questions.
