Summary/Abstract: Edmund Bojanowski’s thought and pedagogical practice perfectly fit into the process of modern upbringing of children. The aim of the article is to indicate the possibility of using the extraordinary wealth of Bojanowski’s achievements and the way to incorporate them in contemporary educational practice. The implementation of the assumed goal is included in the process of argumentation which consists of an introduction to the problem by analysing the educational method of Bojanowski and specifying the significance of stories against its background.
