IMPLEMENTATION OF THE BIOLOGICAL AND CARING FUNCTION IN THE FOSTER CARE (ON THE EXAMPLE OF DISTRICT OF BIALA PODLASKA)

Summary/Abstract: The material for this study was created as a result of research carried out under the project Education, compensating for development gaps and educational charges of family orphanages and care and education centers (on the example of the Biała Poviat) implemented by the Department of Pedagogy of the State University of Applied Sciences Pope John Paul II in Biała Podlaska. Material and methods. The research used the method of a diagnostic survey, with the use of proprietary questionnaires. The research was carried out in the Biała Podlaska poviat in three care and educational institutions and two family orphanages. The aim of the article was to evaluate the implementation of the biological and care function in foster care in the Biała Podlaska poviat. The approach to the discussed issue presented in the work is selective, based on the tasks (needs) selected by the authors related to the implementation of the mentioned function. Results. The analysis of the obtained results made it possible to state the existence of some deficiencies in the implementation of the biological and care function in foster care in the Biała Podlaska poviat. Conclusions. On the basis of the analyzes presented above, it can be said that there are some problems in the implementation of the biological and care function in the Biała Podlaska poviat.
