Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to show the importance of religion in the upbringing processes that is acknowledged by members of the Polish family (parents and an adult son) who have lived in Australia for over 40 years. Based on the narrative interviews conducted with them, the significance of the Christian religion in the processes of upbringing was presented. Showing the aspects connected to the religious dimension, important for the parents and noticed by the son, allowed to indicate both individual and whole family important elements that feature the upbringing potential contained in the professed religion. The narrators have the same point of view that religious upbringing in the family is connected with the acquisition of the skills of critical thinking about self, mental, intellectual, volitional and emotional competences in the light of the content and principles of the professed religion, which enable people to recognise their own place in the world. Religious upbringing perceived in this way awakes the need for continuous development. According to the narrators, religion strengthens the processes of integral upbringing.
