Summary/Abstract: Translated into English, the title of the popular Revival almanac “Letostruy” means “flow of time”. This word is created by Hristo Danov – founder and editor of the book series. The messages of the title and the overall content, deployed on the 2008 pages, is the subject of this article. The main themes and topics are presented in context of the major processes in the social development of the nation in the last decade before the liberation from Ottoman rule. Some important quantitative ratios are outlined. The approaches in the selection and placement of the articles are analyzed – quantitatively and qualitatively. The role of illustrations and layout of the edition are also interpreted in the logic of cultural modernization. The almanac is qualified as a valuable literary product of key importance for the educational and social development of the Bulgarians in the 70s of the XIX century.
