European Union sugar market under the influence of the globalization process

Summary/Abstract: The reform of the European Union sugar market was introduced because of globalization processes. The aim of the reform is to prepare sugar producers for trade liberalization and the reduction of the interventionist policy. Changes on the world sugar market and the state of implementation of sugar market reform in the EU are presented in the paper.
