Summary/Abstract: This article is devoted to a regulatory analysis of the provisions of the Polish Act of 5 July 2018 on the National Cyber Security System. The aim of the article is to show – first of all – that in the case of the aforementioned legal act, there is the case of the so-called sectorial regulation, which is aimed at working out regulatory objectives other than ensuring competition within the market (as it is in the case of classical regulation of the market). Secondly, the article aims to demonstrate that in the case of the objective of cybersecurity, we are dealing with working out this objective only indirectly. Thirdly, and finally, the aim of this study is to present the institutions that serve to ensure cybersecurity, that is, to characterize and assess the obligations of the key service providers and digital service providers.
