Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present internationalization as a strategy supporting enterprise diversification and also leading to the growth of a firm. The literature review reveals that there exists a research gap in the insufficient research on the joint use of internationalization and diversification in the growth processes of a firm. In the empirical section the authors describe the findings of the analyses regarding the ways of implementing these two strategies on the basis of four biggest Polish furniture manufacturers being major Polish exporters at the same time. In all four cases a direct interrelation between both strategies is visible providing synergies that enable growth.
