Summary/Abstract: This paper analyses the issue of visitors touching the exhibits and the touching ban common in museums and galleries. In this analysis, it was assumed that the touching ban can be considered in two different ways – as an absolute necessity and as an unnecessary impediment. Accordingly, the author presents issues, doubts and examples for each of the above-mentioned approaches.
