Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship Council for Families as a social initiative for supporting local government pro-family activities and the promotion of family in the region

Summary/Abstract: This article presents the structure, objectives and competence of the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodeship Council for Families, which is an advisory and opinion-forming social team active in the field of voivodeship pro-family policy implementation. The main objective of the Council is to promote marriage and a properly functioning family in all areas of social life, to represent family interests in the voivodeship, to prevent hazards and to counter family life dysfunctions. The article presents in detail the Warmia-and-Mazurian Family Days which are aimed at promoting values improving family life, the development of sensitivity to family issues and the integration of the maximum possible number of people, families and groups in theregion into these activities.
