Separation and divorce (similarities and differences)

Summary/Abstract: This article consists of theoretical considerations on legal issues of divorce and separation. Except for financial and legal issues that are settled in Family and Guardianship Code, legal and procedural issues are also included, while these two institutions are presented on displaying their similarities and differences. Some doctrine statements are trying to compare separation with a divorce, pointing out pros and cons of these solutions, although, in reality, each of these institutions is completely different, has different goals, is also protecting different rights of the married ones.
