Film as a text of culture in Polish as a foreign language classes

Summary/Abstract: This article includes reflections on the role of culture in teaching Polish as a foreign language, based on the film The Last Family. It shows how to combine film, painting and poetry for teaching Polish at higher proficiency levels (B2+/ C1), using all skills: speaking, writing, understanding written and listened text, as well as improving the knowledge of grammar and spelling, while expanding lexical resource of learners. The use of such material will help the audience understand the cultural background of the target language country.
