Summary/Abstract: Besides observed changes of dynamics in the population numbers in the world one should pay attention to the progressing demographic occurrence an ageing of societies is which. The phenomenon of this process is being defined, as the rising percentage of elderly people in the human population. It is possible to determine this process, as the contemporary world trend, which became an object of dubious in international members both on the level of states as well as non-governmental organizations. And so it seems necessary taking the discourse in our times in the area of criminology not only in the context of elderly people as victims of crimes but also elderly people as their perpetrators. Showing is a fundamental purpose of the article what contemporary crime of elderly people is characterized in Poland in the aspect of her sizes, dynamics and the structure by. Analysis of findings allowed to deduce the following conclusions: offences committed by elderly people concern seniors aged 65.27, whereas the median amounts to 64 years. Crimes of elderly people definitely are most often subject to a classification from the penal code. Because they are deciding – 93% of the whole of all offences committed by elderly people. Analysis of findings also led to the conclusion that the participation of crimes of elderly people fluctuated depending on the region of Poland i.e. from the 1.4% to the 3.1%.
