Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the anti-dualistic anthropology of Gabriel Marcel. I conclude that the thought of the French philosopher comes from his opposition to Cartesian dualism. Marcel emphasizes the importance of the issue of existence, indicating its inseparability from the body. In the perspective proposed by Marcel, all that is material, beginning with the useful things, ending with the whole matter, is raised to the rank of carnality, the sense of which is concentrated in the interpersonal relations and vertical transcendence.
