Summary/Abstract: In this study, the effects of noise on human health are described. Exposure to excessive noise is one of the main causes of hearing problems. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about 5% (or 360 million) of the world's population has a disabling hearing impairment. Noise is considered as a stress agent that affects people, especially in urban areas. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) shows that 22 million workers are exposed to potentially harmful noise in the workplace each year. It is known to have an environmental health problem affecting human health. Occupational noise problem does not only cause hearing loss in humans. In addition; causes biochemical, psychosocial and physiological changes. For this reason, an increase is observed in the studies on the negative effects of environmental noise on public health.
