Summary/Abstract: Along the past years, China’s and Russia’s naval forces operating in the Indo-Pacific region started becoming stronger and stronger, and their actions are clearly indicating Beijing and Moscow are obviously interested – and attempting – to dramatically alter the balance of power at both regional and global level. The present text explores, with a limited amount of details, the pace and magnitude of the growth of the Chinese and Russian naval forces in the Indo-Pacific region, and also the reactions of all sorts adopted by other powers in the same region, interested in maintaining the present regional balance of power, and in deterring and containing, as much as possible, the neo-imperial and expansionist policies of China and Russia.
