Summary/Abstract: Most obviously, the sheer size of its territory and population are making China a great power. But, along the past few decades (and even more obviously along the past few years), the Chinese foreign policy and strategic posture are shaped in a way clearly telling Beijing decision makers are increasingly interested in developing for their country a world power status. The study explores, with significant details, some of the most important elements strongly indicating China is actively searching for such and exceptional power status.
