Summary/Abstract: 1741-1798), Catholic Bishop of Transylvania, and it preserves an encyclopedical fund of foreign book including libri slovacici. The fund comprises manuscripts, incunabulae and books after 1500 (especially from the Library of St. James’s Church in Levoča) but also volumes from various printing centres of present Slovakia (Trnava, Košice, Bratislava etc.). A part of libri slovacici arrived to Alba Iulia from Vienna after the famous Library of Cardinal Christophor Migazzi (1714-1803) was bought, as it results from the [Cathalogus Bibliothecae Christophori Migazzi], made up in the middle of the 18th century, and kept in 3 volumes at Alba Iulia.Within the present communication, we identify 46 titles of old Slovakian books exclusively investigated according to the items of information mentioned in the [Cathalogus Bibliothecae Christophori Migazzi] without an examination of the physical copies kept in Alba Iulia that we consider a moment of perspective research. Most of the books, as expected, come from the typographical laboratory patronized by Societas Jesu from Trnava (37 titles), followed by Bratislava (7 titles) and Košice (2 titles). The identification of the 46 titles from libri slovacici in Christophor Migazzi’s catalogue must be perceived as a moment in the research and appraisal of the old Slovakian printings that arrived to the Batthyaneum Library of Alba Iulia from Vienna. If one takes into account the titles, the ideas contained in the books mainly indicate the field of theology not without philosophy, profane history, literature, medicine etc.
