Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this article is to analyze the vitae of saintly and hymnographical works about Nahoum of Ohrid, given in a certain chronological order. This allows a clarification of the textual influences between them, as well as their relation to other Old Bulgarion writings, such as VC, VM, etc. The enhanced image of Nahoum in them is also taken under consideration. The tradition to place him in the context of the disciples of Cyrill and Methodius goes way back to the so-called First Vita of Nahoum and remains steady through all the works. He is directly connected with the group cult for the Seven Saints, although the early period of this cult is characterized with a numeric unclarity. Thus, our contemporaries remain unsatisfied with being told too little about this writer by the mediaeval scribes.
