Summary/Abstract: The article evokes the personality of Father Professor Ioan Ică Senior, starting from a reading suggestion made by the Reverend Professor himself to the Theology students, namely Jeni Acterian’s Journal. Father Professor Ioan Ică Senior, a renowned teacher transferred in the early 90s from Sibiu to Cluj, was haloed by the precious translations and studies he published at Deisis, the prestigious publishing house run by his son. Tall, imposing, volcanic, theatrical at times, never given over to routine and boredom, always with a thin smile, piercing black eyes joyfully narrowing when the disciple understood deep meanings and flinching when the disciple seemed to stray off. Father Ică had an insatiable appetite for books and intellectual performance.
