Summary/Abstract: The authors presents the results of a study which attempted to use indirect esti-mation methods (including a method accounting for spatial correlation) to estimate certain characteristics of medium-sized and large enterprises in the voivdeships of Poland. Moreo-ver, to improve the accuracy of estimate, the taxonomic approach was taken into account, wherein the results of the Moran test were used for the identification of groups of similar voivodeships. The study relied on data from the DG-1 survey conducted by the Statistical Office in Poznań, which provides the basis for most of the short-term indicators used to de-scribe enterprise activity in Poland.
