Summary/Abstract: This article discusses Cezary Leżeński’s two fantasy-historical novels for children and teen-agers: Bartek, Tatarzy i motorynka (1988) and Bartek, Zuzanna i Kopernik (1999). Their plots are centred on the theme of time travel. The author draws attention to the educational and entertainment value of both books. He writes about their potential usefulness, examining it from the point of view of the regional education in Warmia and Mazury as well as that in Toruń. He also focuses on the readership of the two novels by C. Leżeński.
