“HOME” IN THE EXPERIENCES OF POLISH WOMEN DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Summary/Abstract: Women in all of their cultural and social diversity have been affected in many ways by the COVID-19 pandemic – as health and social sector workforce, as victims of domestic abuse. The main aim of the research project is to address COVID-19 from a gender lens. This article presents and discusses results of qualitative empirical research with female participants on topics relevant to pandemic, including its impact on social and cultural practices. The result of this research is the determination of narratives related to home experienced as a prison, an oasis, a place appropriated by online work and learning, an open place and conceived as Noah’s Ark.
