Summary/Abstract: The culture of producing a written text, so crucial to us nowadays, resides in personalizing information, ideas, and well-argued viewpoints. The person who writes or is learning to write texts of the essay type must organize the work like a writing workshop and adopt the necessary techniques in order to obtain a product of quality. The ingredients are a logical and coherent structure, a clearly stated opinion, and a correct and expressive text; but all of these will be of little value unless the writer also shows respect towards the prospective reader.
