Truth a Point of Contact Between Science and Faith –According to the Encyclical Fides et Ratio

Summary/Abstract: In this paper the author deals with the notion of truth in an encyclical Fidelis e tratio as a point contact to which aspire faith, mind and science. The author divided the work into three parts with the introduction and conclusion. The first part talks about commitment of science, philosophy and faith to the attainment of truth.The second part deals with man’s aspiration for science and truth. This aspiration is deep in man and man has the ability to reach the truth with his mind. The final third part is about trust in the authority and unity of knowledge. Both faith and science have confidence in authority and seek the unity of knowledge. On that way, truth is an indispensable constant.
