Summary/Abstract: The educational system of the Republic of Moldova is currently undergoing the implementation and active development of an intercultural approach aiming at educating tolerant personalities with good social skills, gifted with critical thinking, who are open-minded citizens and patriots of their country, who know their country well and wish to cherish and improve its natural, economic, and cultural potential, being prepared to live, communicate, and collaborate in a multicultural and multilingual community. The current sequential approach imposed by the Framework Plan does not fully satisfy the training and informative necessities of modern schools. In this respect the optional course The Culture of Good Neighborhood is an actual efficient framework, which has been implemented in the schools of Moldova in the last four years. We can already confidently talk of the good results and the impact of this optional course on students, teachers, parents, schools, and local communities.
