Summary/Abstract: Strategic Changes in Enterprise, Transformational Leadership and Crisis Management have become key words in the theory and practice of contemporary management. The aim of this paper is the empirical analysis of the (non) competence of managers to generate the business crisis. Almost every day, the company takes on a certain form of crisis, and it can be deduced from this that management of the company almost always has to bear the prefix “crisis” in the brackets. Such understanding of the role of management implies the need to explore the influence of managers’ competence on generating the business crisis. The survey was conducted on companies in furniture industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina. There were 79 enterprises (48.5%), which are classified as small enterprises according to the number of employees, followed by 66 enterprises (40.5%), which are classified as micro enterprises by the number of employees, followed by medium-sized enterprises with 15 (9.2%) and large companies, which were 3 (1.8%). As in all other surveys as well as within this research, there were certain limitations that at certain moments represented a barrier to research.
