Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the analysis of the musical work of Jaco Pastorius for bass guitar “Continuum”, which is distinguished by its original composition concept and a vivid presentation of the musical texture. Particular attention is paid to the wealth of performing techniques on fretless bass based on a three-layer linear texture.
