On the organization of the war trophies departments of the Polish Army in Eastern Galicia and protection of the cultural and historical heritage during the Polish-Ukrainian war of 1918–1919

Summary/Abstract: Based on the archival materials of the Military Historical Bureau in Warsaw, thisarticle analyses of the organization process and the legal basis of the operation ofthe war trophies departments at the supreme headquarters of the Polish Army inEastern Galicia. It also discusses the main steps made to preserve cultural heritageand the problems that appeared during military operations.
