Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, education is challenged to change its paradigms and to adapt to new online environments and tools. In this context, the role of teachers remains essential in finding relevant contents for developing strong competences, monitoring and evaluating the learning process. Furthermore, it is vital for online education to meet students’ basic psychological needs, such as connecting to others or having the feeling of competence in mastering their learning and becoming self-regulated learners.
