Summary/Abstract: The novel "Programme sensible", published by Anne-Marie Garat in 2013, is one of the main books in recent French literature that questions – in the spirit of posthumanism – the human connection with virtual worlds and contemporary technological challenges. Through the book's protagonist, Jason – a character with a failed and complicated biography, whom he transgresses by maintaining a complex and prolific dialogue with his own computer –, the author stages some of the major dilemmas of the current episteme: What are the advantages and risks of our immersion in virtual worlds? What status does fiction occupy? What mythical legacy is the contemporary digital imaginary inspired by? Our communication aims to formulate a series of exegetical hypotheses starting from such interrogations, paying special attention to the strategies through which the novel in question metabolizes the programmatic principles of posthumanism.
