Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on painting research of the Orava region in the work of one of the most important representatives of Slovak modernism – Miloš Alexander Bazovský. The painter repeatedly returned to Orava forming his painterly opinion in the environment of the lower Orava villages – Zázrivá, Malatiná, Osada, Vyšný Kubín and others.
