ASPECTE PRIVIND ORGANIZAREA MUNCII SALARIATE PE DOMENIUL COROANEI SEGARCEA
Aspects of Wage Labor Organization on Crown Domain Segarcea

Summary/Abstract: In the present article I intended to bring forward the situation of the employees from Segarcea Crown Domain, being motivated by the fact that the rumours diffused on this subject do not flatter the Romanian royal family, being mentioned their excessive exploitation. Yet, the archive documents demonstrate that the measures taken by the Crown Domains Administration, related to the interest shown towards the employees – the insurances, starting with 1903, of the workers on the agricultural machines, against accidents, measure that later extended to all the workers of the Domain; their registration to the Pension Fund House; the facility for the completion of studies and the material support in the best schools; wages high enough to meet their needs; material and money assistance given both to the employees and to the retired people or to the other dwellers; free medical assistance; providing of salubrious and lighted houses and the payment of lightening and heating bills – constitute a model for the entire rural Romanian space. As a sign of gratitude for the devotion that many employees and also villagers showed to the Crown Domain, they received decorations from King Carol II. In this respect, we mention: „Răsplata Muncii pentru 25 de ani”, „Meritul Agricol”, „Meritul Comercial şi Industrial”, „Crucea Serviciul Credincios”, „Crucea de Argint a Ordinului Casei Domnitoare”, Gold Medal, Silver Medal, „Centenarul Regelui Carol I”.
