The Blaga case - a moderate between extremes

Summary/Abstract: In her recent book, Blaga, între legionari și comuniști (Blaga, between legionnaires and communists), the Romanian essayist Marta Petreu analyses the main possible connections between the poet and philosopher Lucian Blaga’s biography and ideas and the two political ideologies which dominated the Romanian public space from 1930 to 1961 (the year of Blaga’s death). In my article I present the ideas, the polemics and the accusations analysed by Marta Petreu in her study, with a focus on the Marta Petreu’s argumentation and conclusions.
