Summary/Abstract: The present paper deals with the history of military relations betweentwo states from Eastern Europe. Using both diplomatic and military documentswe try to underline the importance of such relations in a period when bothRomania and Yugoslavia were actively implied in foreign policies regarding thenational independence and sovereignty, equal rights, international cooperation,defense of territorial status quo and the international treaties concluded after theFirst World War. Regional security system in central and southeastern Europeduring this period was based on two documents of great importance: The Pact ofthe Reorganization of the Little Entente (February 1933) and Balkan Pact(February 1934).
