Summary/Abstract: We hear the word creativity so often, one would say daily. Therefore, we get the impression that it is something that is perfectly known and unquestionable, and how could we not believe it when there is an overproduction of texts, articles and blogs on this topic. But if we were to entertain ourselves with definitions of the notion of creativity, as well as attempts to explain its nature, we would notice quite variegation and discord among them. And not only with laymen, as expected, but also with scientists, whether they are psychologists, philosophers, sociologists, linguists, economists, art historians or others. The purpose of this book is to offer an overview of the history and development of the concept of creativity from antiquity to the present day, to shed light on the mechanisms underlying it, and to explore possible ways in which this ability can be developed and encouraged through the education system. This book, therefore, is not intended only for researchers in this field, but for all those who want to understand how something new is created and how this ability can be developed - with our students, our children, our friends and associates.
