The tourism sector also does not want to stay behind this increasing importance and competition all over the world. Therefore, it offers alternatives that will satisfy the value-oriented tourism demands of today's consumers who are conscious and seeking diversity. - Summary/Abstract:The sharing economy, also known as collaborative consumption or collaborative economy, represents one of the most important trends with a significant impact on the development of tourism. Commercial sharing platforms are systems that allow users to benefit from the advantages of a product or service without acquiring ownership of the product or service and are managed by marketers. However, consumers are more interested in sharing because these systems can minimise the costs of sharing and maximise the benefits derived from sharing. On the other hand, there are different criticisms against the sharing economy due to the fact that it represents a temporary consumption culture due to price-oriented ease of access, confusion regarding taxation, lack of clear boundaries regarding privacy, expansion of the informal economy and negative effects on human employment due to the fact that activities are mostly carried out in the digital environment. However, the positive contributions of the sharing economy to regional employment, positive environmental effects, and the close relationship between a sharing economy and the tourism sector in a period of high demand and supply, the issue needs to be examined academically. In this context, this study aims to examine how the sharing economy affects destinations, tourism services and tourist behaviours with the rapid change in the tourism sector.

- Summary/Abstract:In recent years, it has been argued that the trend towards alternative tourism has increased gradually in the studies on the development of tourism in the world, and rural tourism has come to the fore among these tourism types. Especially, people who are tired of the chaos of city life, intense work tempo and monotony have started to prefer a holiday where they can be in touch with nature and natural life, thus purifying and resting mentally and physically. On the other hand, sensitivity and awareness about healthy nutrition lead people to eat with natural products. All these developments have increased the interest in rural tourism in the world and in Turkey. Apitourism has attracted attention as one of the important elements of rural tourism in recent years. The concept of apitourism, which emerged from the combination of the Latin name of the honey bee, Apis mellifera, and tourism; It includes tasting bee products on the routes created for beekeeping, trainings on the production of these products, apitherapy practices and museum visits. Apitourism, on the one hand, allows people to relax by spending time with nature, on the other hand, it also makes an important contribution to regional development by consuming local products. In today's sense, it is known that apitourism activities started and developed in European countries such as Slovenia, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Spain, Lithuania and the Czech Republic towards the end of the 1900s. In fact, although beekeeping and bee products have been known for tens of thousands of years in almost all geographies of the world and are used both in nutrition and health, it is a phenomenon that should be considered that the emergence of apitourism is so late. Turkey is among the world's leading countries in terms of both the number of colonies and honey production. On the other hand, it has an important potential in terms of apitourism as it is one of the richest geographies in terms of flora and fauna diversity, where all the features of the four seasons can be experienced together. However, it is very difficult to say that this potential is used sufficiently. Although this situation is seen as a deficiency, it also contains an important opportunity in itself.

- Summary/Abstract:Destinations that attract tourists with gastronomic preferences or different motivations can sometimes be interrupted by use. This situation can be caused by human effects as well as by the events that cause some destruction that it has brought to nature. In general, it is reported in the literature that disasters such as wars, floods, deadly diseases, earthquakes and hurricanes can cause serious life, property and economic losses. Earthquakes, which started on February 6, 2023 and are still up to date, have caused such a process to occur in Turkey. This study has been prepared to investigate the potential effects of the 2023 Gaziantep/Kahramanmaraş earthquakes on Gastronomy tourism and to offer solutions to the problems that may occur. In the research, data obtained through observation and literature review, one of the qualitative research techniques, were collected. The obtained data were analyzed by descriptive analysis method. In conclusion; According to the scientific literature review and current scientific evaluations on gastronomic tourism, criticisms are made that this process can be turned into an advantage in terms of tourism in the following periods. When the news in the domestic and foreign visual/printed media is evaluated, there are positive news for gastronomy tourism. Some press organizations use a news headline such as "removal of the building debris destroyed in the earthquake in Gaziantep". Such generalizing statements have the potential to negatively affect Gaziantep gastronomy tourism. According to the literature and observational data obtained in the study, it is thought that the effects of the earthquake in Gaziantep gastronomy tourism can be overcome by taking the right steps, and Gaziantep gastronomy will come out of the process stronger, provided that the planning of the current situation is multidimensional.
