Summary/Abstract: A monograph is a collection of articles devoted to the issues of contemporary glottodidactics connected with multilingualism, shaping linguistic competences in several languages and developing intercultural communication competence. The analyses included in the volume concern the issues related to the competences of a multilingual person, especially as a learner, his/her intercultural awareness, effective communication, mobility, and realization of life goals. Also addressed are the issues of multilingual teaching, factors determining the success of educational outcomes, teaching methods and materials used in the multilingual classroom.
