Summary/Abstract: The publication concerns speech disorders in children born with the isolated cleft palate or with the orofacial cleft. Particular attention is paid to the disorders in the form of open nose deformity, which result from velopharyngeal dysfunction and influence patients’ ability to speak clearly. The most important part of the monograph discusses speech therapy methods used in different periods of lives of children with this defect.
