One of the significant changes that have been introduced and establishing advice for interethnic relations, as municipal advisory bodies whose main jurisdiction is to protect and improve interethnic relations in multinational municipalities. The OSCE Mission in Serbia has been actively supported by their establishment and operation from the very beginning. Based on the analysis of the functioning of the Council for Interethnic Relations in Serbia, the OSCE Mission focused on determining the structure and tasks of the Council, at the same time informing the public about the existence and work of these bodies. During this project, the OSCE Mission from Serbia and Skopje successfully cooperated, organizing several mutual meetings of the Council in Serbia and similar municipal bodies that exist in Macedonia. These visits have contributed to the greater motivation of representatives of municipalities as well as members of the Council, and also confirmed the need and the merits of further work on support for these municipal bodies.
