Summary/Abstract: The author analyses the processes of generating social capital by Polish football fans, the transfer mechanisms of that capital and the ways it is being used outside football stadiums. The out-of-stadium social capital is detectable in collective behaviour of the fans in three main areas: organized hooligan group activities, initiatives of supporter associations, including social and charity work, and organized work carried out by fans for their club.
