Summary/Abstract: Those are the 2 volumes memoirs of the son of an Albanian beylik family of landowners. Unless Ahmet Muhtar Zogolli (later King Zogu) wouldn’t have been so successful in his political strategies and ambitions since 1912, Eqrem Bey Vlora may have been the favourite candidate for the throne of an Albanian kingdom. In his memoirs he tells an Albanian-European biography of the first half of the 20 century, between Vlora, Istanbul, Italy, Bavaria, Austria… always with a patriotic look to his homeland in the Balkans.
