Summary/Abstract: The book Local Elections in 2018 is about the elections to local government held in the Czech Republic in the autumn of 2018. Using both simple and more sophisticated methods of analysis, we offer readers a political-science view of the most recent council elections in the country. We do this from the perspective of the 2018 elections and also consider the context of nearly a quarter of a century of local voting since 1994. Our study relies on a number of earlier surveys, both partial and comprehensive, which we follow up and develop. The structure of the book, which primarily addresses the local elections themselves and the political developments that came immediately afterwards, follows the logic of the voting process.
