Summary/Abstract: The monograph explores the role of language in expressing, recognising and experiencing the feelings of shame and pride as elements of emotional situation. It develops models for understanding such experiences (on the basis of lexical corpora), focuses on providing answers to questions concerning the research on language conceptualisation of feelings and presents the findings of professionals (especially psychologists) about the features, valuation and typology od self-awareness experiences, confronting this knowledge with the results of the research on various languages.
