Summary/Abstract: An ideal Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) coursewareremains not an alternative but a complementary tool in reinforcing classroomactivities. Apart from educators' ability to design appropriate CALL courseware,CALL's effectiveness is dependent on teachers' willingness to adopt new attitudesand techniques to language education. Computer, without a question, is fantasticteaching tool, particularly when it comes to teaching languages in any aspect, including vocabulary, grammar, composition, pronunciation, and other linguisticand pragmatic-communication skills. And it appears that the computer's significantadvantages in improving language acquisition exceed its disadvantages.
