Summary/Abstract: The need to research this issue is determined by: a) the lack of complex research focused on this issue; b) the impressive number of children with SEN who need individualized educational support; c) implementation of the provisions of educational policies in the fields of deinstitutionalization and development of inclusive education. A contradictory situation has been created in the theory and practice of education: on the one hand, the policies of educational inclusion and the development of individualized educational support services are insistently promoted, on the other hand, there is a lack of comprehensive research and psycho-pedagogical models children in the conditions of early education. The article presents the results of a study on self-control skills in children with special educational needs. The findings can be used to create the right conditions for the emotional development of the child at the level of the preschool institution
