Summary/Abstract: The article describes the theoretical pedagogical dimensions of teaching foreign languages in the era of globalization and the "birth" of a global language. The teaching of foreign languages in secondary and higher educational institutions cannot remain traditional; we are witnessing a transformation of the whole education system, including language education. At the present stage of development of society, the process of intercultural communication takes on new forms: it is widely used by a variety of electronic means of communication - e-mail, Skype, voice and video communication, educational platforms, social services etc.
