Summary/Abstract: The main aim of the article is to find an answer to the question to what extent the elements of the colloquial style penetrate into the style of Bible translations. Potocisms penetrate into translations as a result of the technique of translating biblical realities favoring the saturation of the text with elements taken from a living modern language, and as a result of giving up the existing translation tradition, a conscious departure from the biblical style.
