Summary/Abstract: This article is devoted to the consideration of the problem of intercultural communication in the context of teaching foreign language for non-linguistic students. The concepts of communicative competence, intercultural communication, their tasks and use in the learning process are considered. Various scientific approaches to the problem are analyzed. The ways of simultaneous teaching of language and culture, taking into account the peculiarities of foreign students, are proposed, practical tasks for foreign students are considered. The materials of the article can also be used for extracurricular work of foreign students
