Summary/Abstract: Existing scientific studies dedicated to the guide in the Republic of Moldova, are not so extensive and comprehensive, most often this tool was considered as part of the common folklore "picture". These studies are the foundation of the present research and starting point for building a systematic methodological approach. They carry valuable information about the instrument, history and distribution, rhythmic and melodic characteristics and performers. Latest scientific research on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, which mentioned the guide, dates back to 1900 year in the essays of V. A. Moshkov "Гагаузы Бендерского уезда"
